Random and everyday scenes that were taken on Parisian street corners, are shown through the eyes of Zazie – a fictional character of a little girl from the iconic film "Zazie dans le metro" (Louis Malle, 1960), based on the story of French author Raymond Queneau. In this short video work, Zazie offers another perspective on the city and exposes a different kind of Paris. Her point of view reveals a contrast to the romantic idealization of the city – the one which was shot in Malle's film mainly at the city's historic, monumental, representative, photogenic and central sites. Zazie rediscover the abandoned, lonely, deserted and alienated Paris of the recent years.
